The pandemic and its lockdowns have left restaurants and convivial places closed. Deprived of the possibility of "eating out" or "eating together", and suddenly having too much free time, we ate, or swallowed, images in order to satisfy our unfulfilled hungers.
The period we have just gone through has enriched our way of apprehending food: from now on, it is consumed through its visual and photographic representations, in a bulimic way, before being appreciated organically.
This installation, visual and edible, proposes to literally eat images in order to question our new relationship with food, its language and more generally the power of images that we frantically consume and digest so quickly.
All the images presented are taken from pictures posted on Instagram by Manger Manger and Harold Berard, from the 1st day of lockdown in France.

IT La pandemia, con i suoi lockdown, ha chiuso i ristoranti e i luoghi conviviali. Privati della possibilità di "mangiare fuori" o "mangiare in compagina", e avendo improvvisamente troppo tempo libero a disposizione, abbiamo mangiato, o ingoiato, immagini per soddisfare la nostra fame inappagata.
Il periodo che abbiamo appena attraversato ha arricchito il nostro modo di percepire il cibo: d'ora in poi, esso verrà consumato attraverso le sue rappresentazioni visive e fotografiche, in modo bulimico, prima ancora di essere apprezzato a livello fisico. Questa installazione, visiva e commestibile, ci permette di mangiare letteralmente le immagini per interrogarci sul nostro nuovo rapporto con il cibo, il suo linguaggio e, più in generale, il potere delle immagini che consumiamo freneticamente e digeriamo così velocemente. Tutte le immagini presentate sono tratte da foto postate su Instagram da Manger Manger e Harold Berard, dal 1° giorno di lockdown in Francia.
